Explore the decorative potential of pure white fleece to create fine, textural felt samples incorporating silk, plant fibres and synthetic fibres to create and ultra fine felt with texture and surface pattern.

Textile artist Anne Crowther has over 25 years experience teaching in FE, HE, schools and community settings. She is based in the Pennine village of Thornton, West Yorkshire.
Graduating with a first class degree in woven textiles from Central Saint Martins, Anne continued to exhibit her textiles until taking time out when her daughters were young.

 

In recent years Anne’s business Daisy Florence Design has flourished and she now showcases her collection at selected artisan and makers events throughout the north of England. 

Alongside Daisy Florence Design Anne is a freelance artist for the Leeds based arts charity Skippko and works with a wide sector of the community helping them to discover their creative expression (For further info please see ‘Inspiring others‘ section)

Anne also runs WEAVING workshops throughout Yorkshire and has a mobile weaving studio that she takes out into the community.
